I am a regular Swimmer to the 40foot which Joseph Beuys visited in 1974. This history is little known and so I have written a blog to document it: Beuys at Sandycove . The Beuysian Swimming Club is a playful response to this history and was launched as part of an exhibition ESSOMENIA curated by Saoirse Higgins and Cora Cummins in June 2012 supported by Dun Laoghaire Arts Office. .
