‘Field Work’ ran as the Red Stables Summer School in 2012.  The Red Stables Summer School included a rolling series of talks and field trips with invited artists, geographers, botanists and architects. I worked with The Dublin Naturalists Field Club and converted the Red Stables gallery space into a pedagogical space where discussions on the relationship between art and ecology could take place. The field and all ideas surrounding it was my point of departure. 

Working with Bourdieu’s idea of the field : 'Fields are organised both vertically and horizontally, not anologous of classes, and are often autonomous, independant places of social play. A field is a social arena in which people maneuver and struggle in pursuit of desirable resources. A field is constituted by the relational differences in position of social agents and the boundaries of a field are demarcated by where its effects end.'

My output included walks and talks, drawings, photography, and the launch of  "Seating System."
